Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Feb. 21, Jonathan D. Souza, 23, of Newcastle, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on East Old County Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Feb. 21, Alexiee L. McPhee, 24, of Waldoboro, was arrested on a warrant for trafficking in scheduled drugs, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Dennison.
Feb. 23, Zackary H. Woodbury, 36, of Waldoboro, turned himself in on a warrant for a probation violation, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset. After verification of the warrant, Woodbury was arrested by Transport Deputy William Owen.
Feb. 26, Naomi L. Luce, 40, of Whitefield, was arrested on a Rockland warrant for failure to appear, on Hollywood Boulevard, Whitefield, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Feb. 27, Joshua W. Bonenfant, 37, of Walpole, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Clarks Cove Road, South Bristol, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Feb. 27, Shane M. Rines, 43, of Sabattus, was arrested on a probation hold, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Owen.
On Feb. 23, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving James P. Benner, 19, of Damariscotta. Benner was doing a road test on a 2008 Dodge Avenger for Newcastle Chrysler when the vehicle’s left front tire came off, causing the vehicle to come to rest on the side of the road with left front-end damage. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Tracy A. Hunter, 64, of Newcastle, and Christian Vitale, 37, of Nobleboro. Hunter had stopped her 2011 Volvo 80 at the stop sign at the end of Sheepscot Road. Vitale was operating his 2004 Jeep Laredo southbound on Route 1 when Hunter, due to fog, did not see Vitale’s vehicle, pulled out onto Route 1, and struck his vehicle in the rear passenger-side door. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 25, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Robert D. Hahn, 82, of Damariscotta, and John Murray, 22, of Waldoboro. Hahn was operating his 2012 Toyota Rav4 northbound and starting to make a left turn from Route 1 onto East Pond Road. Murray was operating his 2011 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Route 1. Hahn did not see Murray’s vehicle due to heavy fog and failed to yield the right-of-way. As a result, both vehicles struck head-on, rotated around, and the right rear of Hahn’s vehicle and the left rear of Murray’s vehicle struck each other. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 27, an accident occurred on Cape Newagen Road on Southport Island involving Leah M. Brinegar, 77, of Southport, and Barbra J. Blanchard, 69, of Southport. Blanchard had stopped her 2014 Ford F-150 at the intersection of Cape Newagen Road and Cross Road. Brinegar was turning left from Cape Newagen Road onto Cross Road in her 2012 Audi, made the turn too sharply, and struck Blanchard’s vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
