Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 392 calls the week of Sept. 6-12. Year to date, the sheriff’s office has responded to 13,363 calls.
Sept. 7, Dixie M. Gauthier, 39, of Wiscasset, was issued summonses for unlawful possession of scheduled drug and violating condition of release, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Detective Terry Michaud.
Sept. 8, Michael Miete, 25, of Alna, was issued a summons for attaching false plates, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
Sept. 5, Joshua M. Robinson, 31, of Topsham, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Pearl Lane, Jefferson, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Sept. 6, Brian Pinkham, 52, of Edgecomb, was arrested for domestic violence terrorizing, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
Sept. 7, Mark J. Thornton, 46, of Edgecomb, was arrested for criminal trespass, on Island Road, Edgecomb, by Sgt. Aaron Beck.
Sept. 8, Shawn D. Kivlin, 41, of Belfast, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
Sept. 8, Peter M. Brackett, 53, of Jefferson, was arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County for unpaid fines, on Bunker Hill Road, Jefferson, by Sgt. Beck, who was assisted by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
Sept. 9, Jason L. Fogg, 27, of Bangor, was arrested for assault on an emergency medical care provider, violating condition of release, domestic violence assault, criminal mischief – domestic, and assault, on Bunker Hill Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Colby, who was assisted by Deputy John Braley.
Sept. 9, Kali A. Little, 41, of Jefferson, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Bunker Hill Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Braley, who was assisted by Deputy Colby.
Sept. 9, Matthew A. Maxcy, 43, of Waldoboro, was arrested for failure to pay child support, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy William Owen.
On Sept. 6, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Michael L. Jones, 39, of Boothbay Harbor. Jones was operating his 2000 Chevrolet 2500 northbound when he crossed the centerline and entered the southbound lane. He then continued into the southbound ditch and struck a telephone pole. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 8, an accident occurred on Turner Ridge Road in Somerville involving Michelle L. Haskell-Johnson, 42, of Somerville. Haskell-Johnson was operating her 2015 Toyota Rav4 northbound when a moose entered the roadway and was struck, causing front-end damage to her vehicle. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 8, an accident occurred on Back Narrows Road in Boothbay involving Nicole A. Campbell, 38, of Boothbay. Campbell was operating her 2014 Ford Focus northbound when a deer entered the roadway in front of her and was struck. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 8, an accident occurred on Dover Road in Boothbay involving Gary N. Main, 64, of Nolanville, Texas. Main was operating his 2017 Hyundai Elantra northbound when he fell asleep, causing his vehicle to go off the right side of the roadway and strike several small trees. Detective Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 10, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Cerina L. Leeman, 38, of Bristol, and Nathan B. Chesebro, 40, of Bristol. Chesebro was operating his 2008 GMC Acadia southbound on Route 130 in the area of The Harbor Room restaurant. Leeman was operating her 2017 GMC Acadia northbound and failed to yield to Chesebro’s vehicle when she attempted to make a left turn into The Harbor Room restaurant. Chesebro swerved to the left to attempt to avoid Leeman’s vehicle, but was unsuccessful. The front passenger side of Chesebro’s vehicle struck the rear passenger side of Leeman’s vehicle, causing Leeman’s vehicle to spin around and come to rest on the southbound side of Bristol Road, facing north. Deputy Braley was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Biscay Lake Shores in Bristol involving Gordon A. Benner, 83, of Bristol, and Jacob S. LeClerc, 24, of Lyman. Benner had stopped his 2017 Equinox behind LeClerc’s 1997 International Harvester/Navistar. LeClerc could not see the Benner vehicle in his mirrors, due to the Benner vehicle being stopped too close behind his vehicle. LeClerc started to back up and struck the Benner vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving William E. Ball, 64, of Bristol. Ball was operating his 2010 Hyundai Accent southbound when a dog ran into the roadway and was struck. The dog’s owner was not located. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Dogfish Head Road on Southport involving Sarah E. Crosby, 33, of Whitefield. Crosby was operating her 2006 Ford F-250 southbound when, due to a medical issue, she lost control of her vehicle, which struck several trees and a small shed before coming to rest. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 11, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Kymberlie A. Koss, 24, of Boothbay Harbor, and Mark L. Smelcer, 57, of Westport Island. Smelcer had parked his 2017 American Motors 3500 in a parking spot at the Sherman Lake rest stop. Koss’ 2005 Dodge Caravan was parked next to Smelcer’s vehicle on the left side, facing the same direction. Koss attempted to back out of the parking spot and turned the wheel to the right too soon, causing the front passenger side of her vehicle to strike the rear driver’s side of Smelcer’s vehicle. Deputy Braley was the investigating officer.
