Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 491 calls for the period of Jan. 24-30. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,824 calls.
Jan. 23, Elizabeth L. Bruno, 35, of Wiscasset, was issued a summons for passing a stopped school bus, on Federal Street, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Jan. 26, Alicea Socrates, 30, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was issued a summons for operating without a license, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Jan. 27, Steven J. Ewing, 41, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons for operating while license suspended or revoked – prior, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Poirier.
Jan. 24, Tiffanee E. Fraughton, 44, of Bristol, was arrested for violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.
Jan. 24, Timothy J. Ferrell, 20, of Westport Island, was arrested for domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal mischief, and minor possessing alcohol, on Cromwell Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Jonathan Colby, who was assisted by Wiscasset Police Chief Jeffrey Lange.
Jan. 29, Maitland R. Williams, 36, of Bremen, was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy William Owen.
On Jan. 23, an accident occurred on Washington Road in Waldoboro involving Melinda D. Butterfield, 37, of Waldoboro, and Gifford T. Campbell, 62, of Waldoboro. Butterfield was operating her 2011 Toyota eastbound on Old Augusta Road and had stopped at the stop sign located at the intersection with Washington Road. Campbell was operating his 2011 International Harvester, plowing the roadway on Washington Road, and began backing up onto Old Augusta Road. He did not see Butterfield’s vehicle and struck her front bumper. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 23, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Patrick Regan, 27, of Augusta. Regan was operating his 2016 GMC southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, which crossed the centerline and entered the northbound ditch. His vehicle then struck a mailbox post, continued into the ditch, and rolled onto its side. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 23, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Cassandra E. Panarese, 23, of Wiscasset. Panarese was operating her 2005 Subaru Legacy southbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow/slush-covered roadway. As a result, Panarese overcorrected and her vehicle left the roadway. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 24, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Jefferson involving Karl K. Kittredge, 34, of Chelsea, and Leon D. Crockett, 75, of Farmingdale. Kittredge was operating his 2006 Nissan Maxima eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered roadway and began to spin. Kittredge’s vehicle continued down the hill backward and entered the westbound lane, where he struck Crockett’s 2004 Freightliner truck, which was westbound. Crockett continued into the westbound ditch. The passenger of Kittredge’s vehicle was ejected and came to rest in the westbound lane. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 24, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Gale A. Waycott, 37, of Dresden. Waycott was operating his 2004 Ford Ranger northbound when he hit a patch of ice while rounding a curve. As a result, he lost control of his vehicle, which left the roadway and came to rest on its roof. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 24, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Emily Casella, 20, of Somerville. Casella was operating her 1997 Jeep Cherokee westbound. While coming down a hill, her vehicle encountered significant ice on the roadway. As a result, her vehicle went off the road, rolled over into a ditch, and came to rest on the driver’s side. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 25, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Meredith Tisbert, 33, of Alna. Tisbert was operating her 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound when she struck an icy patch on a sharp, downhill corner. As a result, she lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway and came to rest on its roof. Deputy Drake was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 26, an accident occurred on Doyle Road in Whitefield involving Kenneth E. Ripley, 37, of Whitefield, and Sandra R. Griffin, 78, of Edgecomb. Ripley was operating his 2001 Ford F-350 northbound when Griffin pulled her 2014 Ford Focus out of a residence on Doyle Road, making a left turn in front of Ripley’s vehicle and causing a head-on collision. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 29, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Alice S. Ruppert, 81, of Edgecomb, and Joshua T. Richards, 24, of Damariscotta. Ruppert was operating her 2006 Ford Taurus eastbound on Main Street and Richards was facing southbound at the Glidden Street-Main Street intersection stop sign in his 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Richards, after looking both ways, pulled out of Glidden Street to turn left onto Main Street and struck Ruppert’s vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
