Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 249 calls for the period of April 11-17. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 4,423 calls for service.
April 12, Jason M. Gallagher, 37, of Waldoboro, was arrested on six Lincoln County warrants for unpaid fines, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.
April 12, Thomas L. Nichols, 50, of South China, was arrested for violating condition of release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.
April 14, Nathan A. Peaslee, 28, of Dresden, was arrested for violating condition of release, on James Eddy Road, Dresden, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles, who was assisted by Sgt. Alan Shea.
April 14, Tanya N. York, 33, of Warren, was arrested for burglary and assault, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore.
April 14, Aaron H. Robinson, 38, of Warren, was arrested for burglary and criminal threatening, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy 1st Class Collamore.
On April 10, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Paige H. Nichols, 22, of Waldoboro. Nichols was operating her 2007 Subaru Legacy southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On April 11, an accident occurred on Upper East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Leanna L. Bubier, 31, of Nobleboro. Bubier was operating her 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when a deer entered the roadway from the ditch and was struck. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On April 12, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Andrew W. Anthony, 52, of Parsonsfield, and Lawrence Reed, 36, of Waldoboro. Anthony was operating his 2016 Volvo VHD truck southbound. Reed was operating his 2009 GMC Sierra southbound, making a left-hand turn onto Winslow Hill Road. Anthony crossed the centerline into the northbound lane to pass Reed’s vehicle when Reed made a left turn onto Winslow Hill Road. As a result, Anthony struck Reed’s vehicle. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.
On April 14, an accident occurred on East Neck Road in Nobleboro involving Cece A. Verrier, 20, of Bristol. Verrier was operating her 2006 Toyota Scion southbound when she encountered a deer crossing the road. She swerved to avoid the deer and went off the road on the right side, striking a utility pole. The pole was snapped off and her vehicle sustained severe damage to the front end. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On April 15, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Sarah M. McLain, 22, of Damariscotta. McLain was operating her 2017 Chevrolet Equinox southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
