Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 293 calls for the period of June 5-12. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 6,606 calls for service.
On June 10, Deputy David Bellows was dispatched to a report of a theft of an 8-by-8 wooden float section (value: $500) in the Jefferson area. The complainant said the theft occurred between May 27 and June 10. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
June 6, Reginald J. Lee, 71, of Westport Island, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
June 7, a 15-year-old male juvenile from Bremen was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, at Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
June 7, a 15-year-old male juvenile from Newcastle was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia, at Lincoln Academy, Newcastle, by Deputy Gilbert.
June 8, James Hazell, 65, of Bristol, was issued a summons for operating under the influence, on Route 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Dennison.
June 9, Theresa Chaisson, 36, of Naples, Fla., was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
June 5, Scott Beckim, 37, of Damariscotta, was arrested on a Kennebec County Superior Court warrant for failure to appear, on Pond Circle, Damariscotta, by Deputy Bellows.
June 6, Sean M. Williams, 40, of Damariscotta, was arrested for failing to stop for an officer, driving to endanger, and attaching false plates, on West Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Dennison.
June 7, Autumn L. Parady, 20, of Gardiner, was arrested for violating conditions of release, on Pittston Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
June 8, Autumn L. Parady, 20, of Gardiner, was arrested on an Androscoggin County warrant for violation of bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
June 9, Carlton J. Elliott, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested for operating after habitual offender revocation, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Colby.
June 9, Brady Irish, 22, of Belfast, was arrested on a Penobscot County warrant for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
On June 6, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Joseph A. Scribellito, 56, of Dresden. Scribellito was operating his 2012 Ford F-150 southbound when a deer crossed the road in front of him and was struck, causing minor damage to the front of the vehicle. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On June 7, an accident occurred on East Side Road in Boothbay involving Jaidan D. Schlosser, 18, of Boothbay Harbor. Schlosser was operating his 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side of the road. Schlosser swerved to miss the deer and, as a result, his vehicle went off the roadway on the right side and into the ditch, causing damage to the front passenger corner. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On June 8, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Gregory J. Althenn, 33, of South China, and Curt J. Lefebvre, 52, of Montville. Althenn was operating his 1988 Freightliner FLC120 southbound and Lefebvre was operating his 2015 Hyundai Sonata behind Althenn’s vehicle when the drive shaft on Althenn’s vehicle broke free and was struck by Lefebvre’s vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On June 8, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Sheila L. Peaslee, 48, of Jefferson, and Ryan M. Cassidy, 24, of Billerica, Mass. Cassidy had stopped his 2011 Chevrolet Express waiting to merge onto Route 1 heading southbound. Peaslee was operating her 2005 Pontiac behind Cassidy’s vehicle and was looking for oncoming traffic when she swerved to miss Cassidy’s vehicle; however, she hit the rear passenger corner of his vehicle. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On June 8, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Robert G. Boynton, 48, of Jefferson. Boynton was operating his 2012 Dodge northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and was struck. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On June 9, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Joanna K. Jackson, 35, of Waldoboro. Jackson was operating her 2015 Nissan Versa northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of her and was struck, causing minor damage to the front passenger headlight and quarter panel. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
