Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 380 calls for the period of June 12-19. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 6,986 calls for service.
On June 13, Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of a stolen 2007 Loadmaster boat trailer (value: $500) in the Boothbay area. The complainant said that around 7 p.m., the boat trailer was at the Knickercane boat launch. It was discovered missing around 6 a.m. the next day. Further investigation will follow as new leads come forth.
June 12, Liam D. Dworkin, 19, of Newcastle, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Main Street, Damariscotta, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
June 13, Evan C. Treanor, 21, of Long Beach, Calif., was issued a summons for motor vehicle speeding: 30-plus mph over speed limit, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
June 15, Cindy L. Farnsworth, 63, of Newcastle, was issued a summons for domestic violence assault, on Mills Road, Newcastle, by Deputy 1st Class Collamore.
June 12, Derrick U. Smith, 29, of Augusta, was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for probation revocation, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, where Smith turned himself in to Deputy Chad Gilbert.
June 13, Robert O. Dion, 34, of Lewiston, was arrested for aggravated assault, on Oceangate Road, Southport, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
June 14, Travis V. Dobson, 32, of Boothbay, was arrested on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for failure to appear – fine hearing and unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Andrew Miner.
June 14, Sonni Labrie, 28, of Nobleboro, was arrested for violating condition of release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Detective Scott Hayden.
June 16, Ryan A. Doane, 31, of Wiscasset, was arrested for refusing to submit to arrest or detention, on Clarks Cove Road, South Bristol, by Deputy Chase Bosse, who was assisted by Deputy Dennison.
June 16, Billy R. Monteiro, 32, of Boothbay, was arrested for domestic violence terrorizing, on Ocean Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
June 17, Jacob Rist, 20, of Phippsburg, was arrested on two Cumberland County warrants for failure to appear, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Poirier, who was assisted by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
On June 12, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Charles A. Chapman, 71, of Wiscasset. Chapman was operating his 2013 Toyota Prius southbound when a deer struck his vehicle. Deputy Miner was the investigating officer.
On June 12, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road involving Samantha M. McLellan, 50, of Boothbay, and Annie L. Mackusick, 19, of Boothbay. McLellan had stopped her 2017 Nissan Rogue at the stop sign on Harwick Road, preparing to go onto Pension Ridge Road, and Mackusick had stopped her 2010 Dodge Avenger behind McLellan’s vehicle. McLellan started to go and stopped for oncoming traffic, then Mackusick ran into the rear of McLellan’s vehicle. Deputy Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On June 12, an accident occurred on Route 129 in Bristol involving Sara D. Wells, 55, of Wilton, Conn. Ms. Wells was operating her 2010 Ford Escape southbound when she observed a deer enter the roadway from the northbound ditch and strike the front driver’s side of her vehicle. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Jean E. Blais, 49, of Dresden. Blais was operating her 2015 Toyota Highlander westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and was struck. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On June 15, an accident occurred on South Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Joseph M. Eastman, 42, of Pittston. Eastman was operating his 2008 Toyota Tundra southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck. Deputy Colby was the investigating officer.
On June 15, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving Meghan B. Olcott, 24, of Damariscotta. Olcott was operating her 2003 Subaru Forester southbound when she observed a deer enter the roadway from the northbound ditch and was unable to avoid striking the deer. Deputy Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 15, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Jessica E. Holloway, 39, of Southport. Holloway was operating her 2014 Mazda CX5 northbound when a deer ran out and struck the front of her vehicle. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On June 16, an accident occurred on Patterson Road in Dresden involving Louise E. Yeaton, 70, of Richmond, and Robert K. Tukey, 72, of Richmond. Yeaton was operating her 2009 Dodge Nitro westbound when she came to a flashing stop light, where she stopped and then proceeded into the intersection of Route 197 and Route 128. Yeaton did not see Tukey, who was operating his 2009 Subaru Forester northbound. As a result, Tukey struck Yeaton’s vehicle on the driver’s side. Sgt. Bridgham was the investigating officer.
