Counting games, arts and crafts, exercise, and more was on tap for children at Nobleboro Central School as they celebrated 100 days of school Feb. 14.
Grades kindergarten through four spent the morning in multi-age groups, moving from classroom to classroom doing various cooperative projects and activities. They also used the gymnasium and halls for their annual celebration, and displayed 100-themed projects created at home. There were Valentine’s Day hearts, LEGOs, pennies, pom-poms, M&M candies, lollipops and other items, all grouped in hundreds.
In the gymnasium, children played “Money Grab” with Mrs. Schuster and Mrs. York. They took turns dashing under a colorful parachute in search of play money, then practiced counting it. Other classrooms built contraptions, estimated, and strung cereal O’s into necklaces, all in honor of “100 Days.”
