The Crushstation Monster Truck, built, owned and driven by Greg Winchenbach of Jefferson, proved to be a hard shell to crack on the Monster Truck circuit this winter.
Winchenbach and his Monstah Lobstah are at the top of the charts after the completion of the winter season. Crushstation is ranked first in wheelies, and tied for first overall.
Winter highlights for Crushstation include the highest wheelie contest win total of any independently funded monster truck team in the world (14 wins). Crushstation is second only to Grave Digger, who has one more win.
In only his second competitive season, Winchenbach in the Crushstation wrapped up their season in Bridgeport, Conn., winning eight of 12 contests, including winning four of four wheelie contests, two out of four racing wins, and two out of four freestyle wins in competition against Grave Digger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Predator, and more.
Winchenbach recently wrapped up a nine-week tour started in January. He competed in seven states and Ontario in front of sold out crowds.
“Looking back on the season I couldn’t be happier with the progress we’ve made,” team owner and driver Winchenbach said. “My team wants to be the best in the industry and we’ll use this season as motivation to continue to rise to the top of our sport.”
In competitions during January in New Hampshire, Michigan, Ontario and New York, Crushstation won seven out of seven wheelie contests. Bottom Feeder Motor Sports boasted more successes in February and March as they crushed the competition in New England with more wins.
“To finish the year winning eight of 12 events was awesome. In our industry, that’s very impressive. as the level of competition has become very tough. To consistently earn wins against guys like Grave Digger and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle makes you proud,” Winchenbach said. “This spring and summer we’ll continue to improve Crushstation and can’t wait at the opportunity to build on what we’ve accomplished this winter.”
