Lincoln Academy’s golf team collected two more wins this week over Belfast and Rockland to improve their record to 8-0 and sealing a KVAC playoff berth. The KVAC’s championships will feature the top four teams, two from each division, and will be played at the Bath Country Club Sept. 30.
In JV action, Alex Cosgrove (40) topped Taylor Overlock (60) and Cody Graves (42) beat Sam Johnson (68). Alex Graves shot a 44 and Casey Poland a 41.
Lincoln shot a team round 156 to Belfast’s 170. Malcolm Oliver (38) defeated Jamie Jackson by three strokes. Stephen Quinlan (46) lost to Steve Simmons by five strokes. Freshman Seward Matel was low medallist with a 37, beating Tim Sticht (49). Goran Johanson (41) beat Dustin House by one stroke. Jalen Lincoln (40) topped Tyler McDevitt by six strokes. Casey Poland (50) beat Jordan Luther (58).
In JV action, Cody Graves (47) beat Jack Smith (58); Kelsey Leeman (52) topped Alli Nau (66) and Alex Graves (48) beat Grant Starrett (58).
