Lincoln Academy’s girls’ 200-freestyle relay won the KVAC championship on Feb. 6 at the Bath YMCA in a school record-breaking time of 1:57.03. Swimming on the relay were Katie Jackson, Olivia Delisle, Caroline MacDonald, and Julia Tichy. The same four girls also broke the school record with a second place finish in the 200-medley relay in 2:12.13.
Lincoln girls placed third with 168 points. Belfast won with 326, Waterville 207, Winslow 148, Camden 134, Gardiner 116, Erskine 100, Maranacook 23, and Medomak 18.
Holly Martin, Kelsea Miller, Emily Whitaker, and Allison Fisher placed fifth in the 400-free relay in 5:09.
Delisle placed third in the 100-breaststroke in 1:21 and fourth in the 200-IM in 2:41. Tichy was third in the 50-free in 28.19 and fourth in the 100-free in 1:04.
MacDonald took fifth in the 100-backstroke in 1:20. Martin was seventh in the 200-IM in 3:02, and Allison Fisher seventh in the 500-free in 7:15.
For Medomak, Rachel Keefe placed ninth in the 100-free in 1:13. The Lady Panthers placed seventh in the 400-free relay in 5:23.
Panther Joaquin Perez placed fourth in the 50-free in 25.79 and sixth in the 100-free in 58.77. Stefano Bezzan placed fifth in the 100-free in 57.96 and sixth in the 50-free in 26.48.
