Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team won their first game of the season in make-up action Friday night in Waterville. The Lady Panthers led 5-4 at the quarter, then shut down the Purple Panthers in the second frame to take a 20-4 lead at the half. Medomak held a 14-9 and 14-3 edge over the next two periods to win 48-16.
“It was great to break the ice and get a win. We got off to a slow start, then played very well,” MVHS coach Randy Hooper said.
