Medomak 10 – Mt. View 0
Riley McCollett pitched a four hit shutout (2B,5K) to lead the Panthers to a 10-0 win over Mt. View on the road on Friday. Medomak, who were powered at the plate by the Eustler twins, won by mercy ruling in six innings.
With two outs in the first inning, Medomak rallied for three runs. Ollie Brown reached on a fielder’s choice, and Nick DePatsy singled to set up an RBI single to Isaac Eustler and a two run single to Adam Eustler. They added a run in the third when I. Eustler singled, stole second and scored on his twin brother Adam’s double.
Medomak broke the game open with a five run fourth inning. Pat Madden and Micah Williamson hit singles, and McCollett reached on an error to set up an RBI single to Brown. DePatsy singled, I. Eustler doubled in a run, and Ryan Simmons singled in a run.
The Panthers ended the game early by mercy ruling in the sixth with one run. Brown singled, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on an I. Eustler sacrifice fly.
Hitting for Medomak were Williamson with three including a triple, I. Eustler and A. Eustler a double and two singles and three RBI each, and Brown, Madden, and Simmons a single each.
Mikey Hustus took the loss in four innings of work, and A. Reynolds pitched in relief. Hitting for the
Mustangs were Reynolds and Clark, a double each, and Hustus and, Wren a single each.
Gardiner 8 – Medomak 6
Gardiner baseball rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Medomak 8-6 on May 13 in Waldoboro.
Gardiner took a 3-0 lead in the first. Medomak got one run back in the second when Nick DePatsy was hit by a pitch, moved over on a Adam Eustler single and scored on a Jackson Vail single.
The Panthers tied the game 3-3 with two runs in the third. Riley McCollett got things rolling with a triple and scored on an Ollie Brown double. DePatsy singled home Brown.
Gardiner reclaimed the lead with one run in the fourth. Nick Berube was hit by a pitch and scored on a Brady Smith single.
The Panthers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 6-4 lead. Patrick Madden walked, went to second on a balk, advanced to third on an Ethan Swan single and scored on a Micah Williamson single. Riley McCollett singled to set up a two run double to center field from the bat of Brown.
Gardiner took advantage of three walks, a two run double from Brad Weston, RBI single from Smith and RBI fielder’s choice from Chasse to score four runs for the win.
DePatsy took the loss (5 1/3I,5B,2HP,4K,5H). Adam Wilcox pitched in relief (1R,4B,3H,1K). McElvey collected the win (5I,7H,3B,3K) and Smith the save (2I,1B,0H,0K).
Hitting for Medomak were Brown with two doubles, McCollett a triple, and Williamson, DePatsy, Eustler, and Swan a single each. Hitting for Gardiner were Berube with three singles, Peacock two, Weston a double, Smith, and Farrin a single each.
Erskine 7 – Medomak 2
Erskine Academy baseball defeated Medomak Valley 7-2 on Monday in South China. Presby collected the win in four innings of work, and Glidden the save. Williamson took the loss for the Panthers (2I,3B,1K,6H) and Jackson Vail closed out the final four innings (3B,4K).
The Eagles scored all seven of their runs in the first two innings, on three walks, six hits and seven errors.
Hitting for Medomak were Isaac Eustler with two singles, Ollie Brown a double, Vail an RBI single in the fifth, and Williamson and Nick DePatsy a single each. Ryan Simmons drove in a run in the fourth inning.
Hitting for Erskine were Cummings with two, and Bailey, Rodrique, and Beadoin one each.
