Isaac Durkee reached on an error three times in the game and made the Raiders pay scoring all three times, including the game winning run.
Alex Greenrose got the start (2 2/3I, 3R, 2H, 1K, 5B) and Brandon Soper collected the win (6 1/3I, 0R, 1H, 7K, 0B). Sam Morin took the loss for the Raiders.
“Today we were able to capitalize on Oak Hill’s mistakes,” Medomak coach Scott Hastings said. “We were also able to execute the little things offensively. We had three sacrifice bunts allowing runners to advance and later score. Brandon Soper did a tremendous job in relief, allowing no runs or walks over six and a third innings. It seems like every game different players are able to step up and do what needs to get done to win.”
Medomak took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st when I. Durkee reached on an error, moved over on a Soper sacrifice bunt and A. Greenrose ground out and scored on an Isaac Greenrose single.
The Raiders knotted the score in the home half of the inning on a Josh Martin single, and took the lead with two runs in the 2nd on an RBI single to Craig Morrill and Jared Glaxier scored on a wild pitch.
After three scoreless innings, Medomak pulled within one in the 6th. Pinch runner Kerry Madden went to second when Adam Lynch reached on an error, to third on a Cody Ames sacrifice bunt, and scored on a Robby Griffin sacrifice fly.
The Panthers tied the score in the 7th. I. Durkee reached on an error, moved to second on a Soper sacrifice bunt, to third on drop third strike and scored on an I. Greenrose single
Medomak scored the game winner in the top of the 9th when I. Durkee reached on an error, stole second, went to third on a Soper ground out and scored on an A. Greenrose single.
Hitting for Medomak were I. Greenrose with 2 singles, John Murray a double and A. Greenrose and I. Durkee a single each. Hitting for the Raiders were Cam Morin a double and Craig Morrill and Joshua Martin a single each.
Medomak jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the 1st inning. Chris Benedict walked and scored on an Alex Greenrose double. I. Greenrose followed with a 2 run homerun. Adam Lynch reached on an error, moved to third on a Brandon Soper single and scored on a Brandon Gresham single. Soper scored on a wild pitch.
Nokomis pulled within one in the 3rd with 3 runs. Justin Kusprzak drove in 2 runs on an error and Dylan Hawthorne singled in a run.
Medomak added 3 insurance runs in the 5th. I. Greenrose hit a double, John Murray a single and Lynch walked to load up the bases for an RBI single to Soper, and 2 run single to Isaac Durkee.
