Medomak Valley boys’ cross country team won a five-team meet at Belfast on Friday. The Panthers placed five scoring runners in the top 20 to win with 51 points.
Erskine Academy was second with 55 points, followed by Belfast 85, Lincoln Academy 95, Morse 103 and Camden 107. Camden’s Ben Trapani won the race in 17:54.
Mason Vermillion led the Panthers with a 3rd place finish in 18:01, followed closely by Nick Anderson in 4th place in 18:19. Ivan Johnson placed 9th in 19:44, Alex Casas 17th in 20:28 and Ian Rixon 18th in 29:37 to complete the scoring five. Also running for Medomak were 25. Gavin Felch, 20:49; 28. Lance Parker, 21:17; 31. Taylor Packard, 21:28; 32. Kyle Baubonis, 21:29; 35. Brendon O’Donnell, 22:04; and 74. Alex Kenniston, 28:40.
Nick Smelcer led Lincoln Academy with a 7th place finish in 19:15. Alex Tomasello placed 10th in 19:46, Will Hadden 22nd in 20:45, Josh Richards 27th in 20:53, and Nathan Osborne 36th in 22:13 to complete the scoring five.

Camden girls won the race with 21 points, followed by Morse 44, Medomak 87, Belfast 108 and Erskine 11. Willow Parker, Camden, was the race winner in 19:56.
Heidi Harris led the Panthers to a 3rd place finish at 18th in 25:17. Completing the scoring five were 20. Alyssa Griggs, 25:28; 23. Jocelyn Thames, 25:38; Shannon Staples, 25:43; and 30.
