Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team, edged Oak Hill on the road Tuesday night, 51-50, and lost a close contest with top ranked Camden on Jan. 29. Medomak is 13-4, with one game remaining in their KVAC schedule, at Lincoln on Feb. 4.
The Panthers lost Caleb Guistra for the season when he re-fractured his leg in the Camden loss.
The Raiders brought the ball down the court, but could not find pay dirt on a couple of shots as time expired. “We were lucky to get out of there with a win,” coach Nick DePatsy said.
The two squads were tied 12-12 at the quarter; Medomak led 26-21 at the half, and 36-30 at the end of three.
Scoring for Medomak were Alex MacKenzie 16 (9R), Greenrose 9, Durkee 9, Dan Aubel 8, Alden Ahlholm 3, John Bartlett 2, Deering Genthner 2, and Jason Vinal 2.
Scoring for Oak Hill were Tim Levesque 27 (5-3’s, 8 for 14 at line), Cam Morin 10, Trever Sampson 6, Brian Bradstreet 4, and Chad Asslin 3.
Scoring for Medomak were Alex MacKenzie 16, Dustin Osier 10, Isaac Durkee 9, Jason Vinal 5, Isaac Greenrose 4, John Bartlett 3, and Dan Aubel 2. Scoring for Camden were Tyler McFarland 21, Keegan Pieri 13, Cameron Gartley 9, Joel Gabriele 6, Jim Weferling 3, Scott 2, Casey Wilson 2 and Will Vlautin 1.
