The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference presented 2011-12 basketball awards between championship games at Cony High School in Augusta on Saturday.
Medomak Valley senior Alanna Vose was named KVAC Class B Female Player of the Year. Medomak Valley boys’ basketball coach Nick DePatsy was named Class B boys’ basketball Coach of the Year.
Vose scored 383 points during the 2011-12 season, and led the Panthers in steals and assists. She has scored 957 career points, and needs 43 more to reach 1000. Vose is currently the second leading scorer in Lady Panther history.
The honor was DePatsy’s 6th conference Coach of the Year award, and he also has four State Coach of the Year awards.
Medomak boys’ players received numerous awards. Isaac Greenrose was named to the KVAC First Team; John Murray and Alex Greenrose to the KVAC 2nd Team; Ryan Ripley, and Lincoln Academy’s Jalen Lincoln and Ryley Leavitt were KVAC Honorable Mention.
Other girls’ basketball awards went to MVHS’s Amanda Hendrickson-Belloguet to the KVAC All-Rookie team, and All Academic honors went to Medomak’s Mallory Conary, Heidi Poli, Mallory Robbins and Alanna Vose.
