Wiscasset boys’ basketball team picked up a 59-34 win over Monmouth Monday night in Wiscasset. The Wolverines scored the first 10 points of the ball game, and led 16-3 at the quarter, 24-14 at the half and 38-20 at the end of three.
A civil 1st half saw neither team get to the bonus, but that all changed after the break with a crazy 2nd half that saw both teams get to the double bonus early. In the first three minutes of the 4th quarter, 20 foul shots were taken, and only eight made it, in an ugly last period.
Wiscasset out rebounded Monmouth 36-12 in the win. With the win, Wiscasset improves to 3-5.
