The Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity from Nov. 23 to 29:
Nov. 23: Sgt. Jason Warlick took a report of erratic operations on Bristol Road and conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street.
Officer Jim Dotson investigated an alarm on Main Street.
Nov. 24: Sgt. Warlick investigated a report of trespassing on Main Street, took a report of theft on Main Street, investigated a car-pedestrian accident on Main Street, and took a report of criminal mischief on Main Street.
Officer Dotson assisted a citizen on Lewis Point Road.
Nov. 25: Chief Ron Young took a found property report at the police department, investigated a report of theft on Abbie Lane, and took a late report of a property-damage accident on Main Street.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a report of an assault on Back Meadow Road.
Nov. 26: Officer Kyle Sylvester investigated an alarm on Main Street.
Nov. 27: Officer Sylvester investigated a report of criminal mischief on Heater Road, investigated a report of fraud on Pond Circle, assisted a citizen who had locked themself out of their vehicle on Schooner Street, and investigated a report of suspicious activity on Miles Street.
Nov. 28: Chief Young and Officer Mark Graham assisted in locating Santa Claus and escorting him into town!
Officer Graham took a police information report on Church Street.
Officer Sylvester warned a driver for a defect on Main Street.
Nov. 29: Officer Graham investigated a report of a burglary on Church Street and warned a driver for a stop-sign violation on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of a person sitting on the side of the road (the person was gone when the officer arrived), gave warnings for a defect on Back Meadow Road and speeding on Route 1, and investigated a late report of a motor-vehicle accident on Biscay Road.
The Damariscotta Police Department responded to 72 calls for service from Nov. 23 to 29.
