Maureen A. Cianci, 76, of Waldoboro, died March 10, 2026 at MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport. Maureen was born March 25, 1949 in New Britain, Conn. Maureen graduated from New Britain High School in the class of 1967. She later graduated from Adelphi University on Long Island, N.Y. with a master’s in social work.
Maureen worked as a social worker for the state of Connecticut. Maureen and her husband, Larry, lived in Middlefield, Conn. Maureen worked at the Middlefield Library for many years. Maureen loved animals and enjoyed pet sitting for families.
In the fall of 2013, Maureen and Larry purchased a home in Waldoboro. They traveled between Connecticut and Maine for five years before permanently moving to Waldoboro in 2018. Maureen worked at the Boothbay Railway Village for many years. She was a member of the Waldoboro Baptist Church. Maureen’s friends were friends that she had for her entire life. During Hurricane Katrina, she volunteered to help people and she also rescued a cat that she brought back to Maine.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Maureen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Burridge, of Waldoboro; and close friends, Kathy Cartwright, of Waldoboro, and Liza Keene-Beach, of Waldoboro.
A memorial service to celebrate Maureen’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on March 25, 2026 (Maureen’s birthday) at Hall Funeral Home, at 949 Main St. in Waldoboro.
