Turkey dinners, cranberries, candied yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and family gatherings — these are all commonly associated with most Americans’ yearly celebration of giving thanks, Thanksgiving Day!
This should never be a day or lack or want, rather of joy, celebration, and family, and the people at Atlantic Motorcar Center in Wiscasset want to make certain of that for 75 families in Maine’s Midcoast. For those families and people who are in need, Atlantic Motorcar will give away 75 turkeys on Sunday, Nov. 24. They will be handed out through the Wiscasset Church of the Nazarene at 12:30 p.m. The church is located at 255 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset.
Or one can come to the church early, enjoy the service, and get one’s name on the top of the list. The fellowship is warm and very welcoming. The singing, well, let’s say it’s enthusiastic.
