The 11th annual Attic, Basement, Closet rummage sale, sponsored by the Round Pond Schoolhouse Association, is seeking donations. This year’s sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27 at the historic Washington Schoolhouse in the heart of Round Pond village.
Here is a chance to donate small appliances, furniture and furnishings, framed art and photographs, antiques, jewelry, kitchen supplies, outdoor equipment, gardening items, peninsula treasures, toys, and usable tools that one no longer needs. Please note that the schoolhouse board regrets that it cannot accept TVs, computers, large appliances, clothing, and boxes of books. (The Bristol Area Library and Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop accept books.)
Designated drop-off day for donations will be Thursday, May 24. Other drop-off times can be arranged by calling a board member at 529-2008, 520-5430, or 529-5796.
All funds raised will go toward the continuing restoration of the Washington Schoolhouse and fulfilling the mission to maintain this 19th century landmark as a museum for displaying local historical articles and a place to provide educational, cultural, and community events for Round Pond village.
