For this year’s ABC, Attic, Basement, Closet Rummage Sale, donors can add a “D” for “declutter” as they sort out what to donate to the event sponsored by the Round Pond Schoolhouse Association.
This year’s sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, and 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 26, at the historic Washington Schoolhouse in the heart of Round Pond Village.
Designated drop-off days for donations will be Tuesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 23, from 3-6 p.m. each day. To arrange an alternative time, call 529-2008.
Consider donating small furniture, countertop appliances, kitchen supplies, tools old and new, toys, framed art and photographs, antiques, jewelry, exercise gear, outdoor equipment, gardening items, peninsula treasures and items of whimsy. Please note, the schoolhouse board regrets they cannot accept TVs, computers, large appliances, clothing, CDs, and books. (The Bristol Library and Skidompha Used Bookstore accept books.)
All funds raised will go toward the continuing restoration of the Washington Schoolhouse and fulfilling the mission to maintain this 19th century landmark as a museum for displaying local historical articles and a place to provide educational, cultural, and community events for Round Pond Village.
