The Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club’s Festival of Trees will return Dec. 5-7.
The festival will take place at Wells-Hussey American Legion Post No. 42 from 4-7 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Dec. 5 and 6, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7.
The American Legion Auxiliary will sell food during the event.
The festival works as follows: Local businesses sponsor Christmas trees with prizes, such as gift cards or merchandise. Attendees buy raffle tickets, 10 for $5, for a chance to win the tree or trees of their choice. The proceeds support the Rotary’s local service work.
Admission is free. The post is at 527 Main St. in Damariscotta.
