On Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 1-6 p.m., the Central Lincoln County YMCA, Main Street Grocery, and the Damariscotta Police Department are partnering to host another Fill the Y Bus food drive. These food drives typically fill over 35 boxes and bags with donations to benefit the Jefferson Food Pantry, Ecumenical Food Pantry, Lincoln Academy Cubbies, and local schools’ backpack programs to help serve members in the community in need of nourishment.
Contributing to the event, which will be held at Main Street Grocery, located at 5 Coastal Marketplace in Damariscotta, will include Main Street Grocery staff, Damariscotta Police Chief Jason Warlick, the CLC YMCA staff and board members, and the CLC YMCA middle and high school Y Leaders Clubs — and, of course, the generosity of Lincoln County community members.
