Elisha Hopkins’ 9-year-old son Gage is having a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money to help those impacted by the recent hurricanes at Hatch Well Drillers, 13 E. Pond Road, Nobleboro.
“He came home from school one day last week and asked if he could have a yard sale,” said Hopkins of her son, who is in fourth grade. “He wanted to sell some of his toys he doesn’t use any more and send the money to the people because they lost everything. He was really sad that some people had died. He has been asking friends and family to add things they aren’t using.”
As the First Baptist Church of Nobleboro is raising money for hurricane relief, Gage will give the money to the church to add to what it collects.
