‘To show its appreciation for the sacrifice of U.S. veterans, Total Victory Ice Cream in Waldoboro will be dispensing free ice cream to all military personnel and veterans on Memorial Day weekend, Friday-Monday, May 26-29. The venue will be open from 3-7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday to start the season, with expanded hours coming later as demand increases.
Located in what may be the safest environment in Lincoln County, Total Victory Ice Cream can be found in the parking lot of Liberty Tree Arms, 65 Washington Road in Waldoboro, across from Moody’s Diner.
As usual, Total Victory Ice Cream will also be offering a variety of “safe” ice cream including strawberry, vanilla, and “Glock-o-late,” along with many other popular flavors of famous Gifford’s ice cream.
Total Victory Ice Cream will once again be offering a family-friendly, safe environment to relax in and enjoy some down time with the kids at the grassy and open lot behing the gun shop. Frisbees and other entertaining toys are available to keep the adults occupied, provided they share with the kids. Free from highway traffic, the location is a great place to sit and catch up on all the latest news. Free ice cream contests will be an ongoing activity along with some possible events like craft fairs and yard sales. Last year’s events of those types seemed to generate some interest, so more will be in the works.
One of the events the owners hope to establish is a Family Carnival Game Design Competition. The objective would be to design and run a “carnival of games” designed by kids and parents, where the most popular game team would be rewarded with a significant prize. All games would have to be offered for 25 cents to keep it family-affordable. Complete details can be found at totalvictoryoutreach.com.
