Live and silent auctions and a potluck dinner to benefit 2-month-old Brody Wilson and his family will take place at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Waldoboro on Saturday, Feb. 20. Brody is the son of Sgt. Jay Wilson, of the Waldoboro Police Department, and Katie Collamore, a certified nursing assistant with LincolnHealth in Damariscotta.
The dinner will start at 4:30 p.m. The price is $12 for adults or $6 for ages 3 to 17. Children under 2 will be admitted free of charge. There will be a silent auction of baked goods. A live auction will start at 7 p.m. with guest auctioneers Don Carrigan and Maine humorist Gary Crocker.
Brody was born Nov. 25, 2015, weighing 4 pounds, 4.8 ounces. He was soon diagnosed with Wolf-Hircshhorn syndrome or 4P. The family hopes to ease the emotional and financial strain on Brody’s parents. They have lovingly and selflessly given to their community for decades. Now, Leigh Collamore and Heather Wilson, sisters of Jay Wilson and Katie Collamore, are asking for the community to rally around this wonderful family.
For those who wish to donate, the family has set up The Brody Wilson Fund at Rockland Savings Bank, 1341 Atlantic Highway, Waldoboro, ME 04572.
