In respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence perpetrated Wednesday night, Nov. 7 in Thousand Oaks, Calif., Gov. Paul R. LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff statewide immediately until sunset on Saturday, Nov. 10.
“Ann and I are tremendously saddened by the shooting in Thousand Oaks in California,” said LePage. “We send our deepest condolences to the all of those who have been affected by this tragedy.”
President Donald J. Trump issued a proclamation on Thursday, Nov. 8 directing flags to half-staff as a mark of respect for the victims of the tragedy in California.
