The Waldoborough Historical Society has been blessed by several gifts of Grace Rocks left in its wall, by its flagpole base, and near its entrance. These lovely hand-painted rocks are now assembled in the Hauck/Bailey Building, where visitors can see them, each one an individual picture of joy.
The first one received has this message: “You have never really lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you. Facebook Grace. Keep, hide, join in painting.”
Historical society members love them, agree wholeheartedly with the message they carry, and want to thank the anonymous givers. The Grace Rocks are displayed in the museum and will be featured in an exhibit on Saturday, Sept. 9 during ArtWalk Waldoboro. The Waldoborough Historical Society museum will remain open until 4:30 p.m. that day to support the ArtWalk Waldoboro experience. Evident in many towns, Facebook Grace Rocks is a community organization that shares rock messages to give hope and make one smile.
