Healthy Kids, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting parents and professionals who work with children, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Cause Bag Program for the month of January.
The Hannaford Cause Bag program launched in October 2015 and is designed to support local nonprofits through the sale of the reusable Hannaford Helps bag.
Healthy Kids was selected by Hannaford Supermarket store leadership as the January beneficiary of the program at the Damariscotta Hannaford Supermarket. For every Hannaford Helps reusable bag with the good karma message purchased at the Damariscotta Hannaford store during January, Healthy Kids will receive a $1 donation.
“Healthy Kids is so honored to be selected by Hannaford to be their January beneficiary,” said Healthy Kids Executive Director Leslie Livingston. “This donation helps us to fulfill our mission of supporting families and preventing child abuse.”
Healthy Kids has a goal of raising $500 during January, which is equivalent to 50 bags bought in support of Healthy Kids. Healthy Kids plans to use the projected funds to support parenting programs throughout Lincoln County.
