The Waldoborough Historical Society is pleased to announce its latest fundraiser, the “Meals for a Month Raffle.”
One lucky person will win 30 gift certificates to restaurants/takeouts from around the state of Maine. This is a $400-plus prize.
A few of the certificates are from such places as The Red Barn, Augusta; The Penalty Box, Damariscotta; King Eider’s Pub, Damariscotta; Moody’s Diner, Waldoboro; Damariscotta River Grill, Damariscotta; and Reunion Station, Damariscotta.
Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Contact Waldoborough Historical Society Vice President Bill Maxwell at 790-13070 or President Jean Lawrence at 832-4421 to purchase tickets and they will arrange to get the tickets to the purchaser. Catch Maxwell or Lawrence at the Waldoborough Historical Society Museum on Sundays from noon-3 p.m.
The drawing date is Dec. 15.
Tickets will also be available at the Saturday, Aug. 31 indoor yard sale at the West Waldoboro School/Community Building on Bremen Road from 8 a.m. to noon. Those spending $10 at the sale will be given a free “Waldoboro Ships” calendar. The next yard sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29.
