In less than one week, Lincoln County Publishing Co. will welcome the community for a firsthand look at how The Lincoln County News gets printed during an open house the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 17. The event is free and open to all.
“We’re very excited to host the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event this month,” Lincoln County Publishing Co. President Christopher A. Roberts said. “We hope everyone can join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how we make the news each week.”
Lincoln County Publishing Co., which publishes The Lincoln County News, is a family-owned, full-service print shop that has been in business for more than 100 years.
During the evening’s festivities, the publishers will demonstrate how the newspaper press works by printing a special eight-page section exclusively for attendees of the open house. The section will include a timeline of the newspaper’s history, information about new and ongoing projects, and biographies of the publishing company’s employees.
Light refreshments by Red Plate Catering will be served during the event, which will run from 5-7 p.m. at 116 Mills Road in Newcastle.
