At a May 9 stated meeting, members of Alna-Anchor Masonic Lodge No. 43 recognized two youth volunteers for their service to the community. Central Lincoln County Program and Community Outreach Coordinator Karen-Ann Hagar joined the families of Schuyler Farrell and Nolen Michael to recognize them for their volunteer work in the local communities.
The following organizations have greatly benefited from their service: the CLC YMCA, Healthy Lincoln County, the Rotary Club, Great Salt Bay Community School, Lincoln Academy, LincolnHealth, Midcoast Conservancy, Kieve-Wavus, the Restorative Justice Project, Skidompha Library, local food pantries, and the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest planning committee, among others.
Farrell and Michael each contributed more than 100 hours in the service of these worthy organizations and projects. Farrell serves as a member of the Youth YMCA Board as well as YMCA Teen Leader Chair. Michael serves as a member of the Youth YMCA Board as well as YMCA Teen Leader Vice Chair. Both are juniors at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.
