Despite threatening weather on Saturday morning, Aug. 12, the fourth annual Olde Bristol Days Vintage Car Show hosted a multitude of collectible cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The event, free for all vehicles, has evolved into a popular, fun attraction for the entire family during Olde Bristol Days.
The winners are, by popular vote:
First place: 1953 Austin Healey 100M — Tom Anderson, of Damariscotta
Second place: 1953 MGTD — Marty and Betty Welt, of Nobleboro
Third place: 1959 Chevy Apache — Fred and Marie Naylor, of Honolulu (garaged in Walpole)
Founder’s Choice: 1967 Porsche 912 — Pitor Antosiewicz, of New Milford, Conn.
Kids’ Pick (kids 12 and under vote): 1953 Austin Healey 100M — Tom Anderson, of Damariscotta
Outstanding Bike: 1970 Norton Commando Fastback — David and Cathy Cushing, of Pemaquid
“I’m grateful for the help of stalwart vintage car show volunteers Tim English, Jim Hush, Deb Skoglund, Dyan Dyer, and Karen Friedman, and for all of the vehicle owners that came-out for the show,” said Olde Bristol Days Vintage Car Show organizer Jeff Friedman, of New Harbor. “Our event is all about community spirit, community involvement, and the love for these amazing works of art.”
