This Saturday, Aug. 3, from 1-6 p.m. at the Damariscotta Baptist Church, at 4 Bristol Road in Damariscotta, a lovely “Frozen” festival and princess tea party is planned. Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and another princess are going to visit. There will be games, face painting, dancing, music, and food.
The Rusty Hinges and possibly a few surprise musicians will provide the music.
Money is being raised for Charlotte Ramsdell, who was burned from her eyes to her knees at age 2. She has had 33 surgeries and currently treats with the Shriners burn unit in Boston. The family hopes to raise enough funds to send Charlotte to the World Burn Conference in Anaheim, Calif., where she will qualify as part of the youth burn team for burn survivors to learn skills to deal with their burns, PTSD, anxiety, burn treatments, peers, and bullying. It was at the urging of other burn survivors and her doctors that she attend this training.
The family has to raise funds for airfare, hotel, conference workshops, and boarding her pets.
Anyone interested may send a donation to Charlotte Ramsdell, P.O. Box 725, Damariscotta, ME 04543 — or please attend! For more information, contact Carol at 677-3061.
