The Rotary Club of Damariscotta-Newcastle will hold an electronic waste collection on Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Floor Magic, 45 Biscay Road, Damariscotta. Accepted items will be anything with a board and a cord — TVs, laptops, game consoles, VCRs, projectors, CPUs, stereos, digital cameras, monitors, keyboards/mouse, tape players, copiers, peripherals, PDA’s, printers, DVD players, speakers, fax machines, cell phones, telephones, scanners, remotes, two-way radios. camcorders, CD players, and answering machines. No air conditioners, dehumidifiers, mini fridges, refrigerators or items containing Freon, or full-size appliances will be accepted.
Rotarians will help unload items from one’s car, van, or truck.
Cash or check donations for items dropped off will go to support the Rotary Club of Damariscotta-Newcastle’s community projects and programs.
This is a great opportunity to recycle unwanted or broken electronics and help planet Earth.
