The grandchildren of Pam and Gary Sawyer, of New Harbor and Massachusetts, are here for a week with their grandparents. It has been dubbed Grandma Camp. They do the things kids do in summer — beach, boating, and some volleyball. They visit with friends and get in some swimming and kayaking. They also devote several days to helping others.
This summer, as in the past, they raised money — $203 — for the New Harbor Food Pantry and volunteered at Inn Along the Way (the old Chapman Farm) in Damariscotta.
So, a big thank you to these young folks and the generous people who pass by on Route 32 in New Harbor and purchase homemade goodies and a cool drink to help out a worthy cause. Great job!
