Sheepscot Valley Health Center in Whitefield will be welcoming a new medical provider, family nurse practitioner Ashley Hamilton-Ellis, in June. Hamilton-Ellis obtained a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Maine in Orono in 2013 and an undergraduate nursing degree at University of Maine at Augusta in 2011. She has been providing family health care locally for several years in family practice and emergency settings. Her areas of clinical interest include family care, acute care, acute procedures, and addiction medicine.
“I am excited about providing primary care in my community,” said Hamilton-Ellis. “It is an honor and privilege to care for my neighbors. I believe in individualized personal care. In my spare time, I enjoy family adventures, hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities.”
Hamilton-Ellis will be joining the medical staff at Sheepscot Valley Health Center, which includes medical doctors Roy Miller and Kathryn Wistar, family nurse practitioner Amber Shepherd, and physician assistant Shannon DeLong. The practice serves 4,000 residents from Coopers Mills, Jefferson, Somerville, Washington, Whitefield, Windsor, and surrounding communities by offering medical care to adults and children, as well as counseling, care management, adult psychiatric-medication management, podiatry, and referrals.
Sheepscot Valley Health Center is located at 47 Main St., Whitefield.
