Although the weather may not act like it sometimes, the holiday season is right around the corner, and preparations are already underway for the 2018 Villages of Light celebration in Damariscotta and Newcastle.
This committee, made up of representatives from the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Damariscotta-Newcastle, the Neighborhood Economy Alliance, and other volunteers, are building on the success of last year’s event for this year’s celebration on Saturday, Nov. 24.
The committee is asking for assistance to locate three 20-foot tall trees to be located at Veterans Memorial Park in Newcastle and Chapman-Hall House and Damariscotta River Association’s Round Top Farm in Damariscotta. Anyone who might have a tree that fits the bill is encouraged to contact John Roberts at 563-3171.
