Christmas trees large and small will appear throughout the Twin Villages Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23 and 24.
On Saturday, Nov. 23, five large trees will be deployed at Veterans Memorial Park and Louis Doe Home Center in Newcastle, and Chapman-Hall House, Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust, and N.C. Hunt Lumber in Damariscotta.
N.C. Hunt Lumber will once again assist with the placing of the trees, while Tidewater Telecom will help string the lights. Louis Doe Home Center has again donated the necessary hardware to secure the trees, which are 20 feet tall and taller.
Sunday, Nov. 24 will see the deployment of the 4- to 5-foot live Christmas trees throughout the Twin Villages. The $150 sponsorship includes tree installation, strands of white lights, a sponsor sign, and the removal of the tree in early January. Sponsors are responsible for decorating their own trees.
