This holiday season, LincolnHealth wishes to remind community members of the difference they can make year-round by becoming a volunteer.
“LincolnHealth volunteers bring joy and help ease the minds of patients, residents, and their family members,” said LincolnHealth Director of Volunteers Connie Bright. “Many volunteers believe they bring home more than they give.”
Opportunities to make a difference include greeting and registering patients, running the cash register in the Miles Cafe, performing music, talking and playing bingo with patients and residents, and more.
Volunteer opportunities are available in Boothbay Harbor and Damariscotta. Previous volunteer experience is not required; one should just bring a warm smile and compassion.
“Knowing that you make an impact, that you make a difference, that’s the true gift,” Bright said.
