The members of the Waldoboro Fire Department are pleased to welcome Santa Claus to Waldoboro once again this year. Santa will arrive at the downtown crossroads in the village of Waldoboro at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18. He will arrive escorted by a parade of fire trucks traveling on Jefferson Street from the fire station to downtown, where children can greet him upon his arrival.
The firemen and their families will be providing cookies to enjoy while children wait to visit with Santa. Each child that shares his or her wishes with Santa will receive a gift of Christmas candy from the firemen.
This year, members of the Waldoboro Firemen’s Association are pleased to announce that they have built a mailbox with the assistance of Santa’s elf, John Emerson. Children are invited to write letters to Santa and send them directly to the North Pole by utilizing the new Christmas mailbox. The mailbox will be placed at the corner of Main and Jefferson streets during the week before Santa arrives at the same location.
