The Whitefield Lions Club would like to recognize six local graduating seniors who will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward furthering their education.
Each year the Whitefield Lions Club Scholarship Committee chooses among deserving applicants based on hard work, perseverance, leadership, community service and career goals.
This year the club is proud to recognize six outstanding individuals: Caliegh Crocker, of Windsor, attending Husson University’s nursing program; Carson Hallowell, of Jefferson, who will attend Eastern Maine Community College’s plumbing program; Nolan Burgess, of Whitefield, who will be attending University of Maine Orono for education; Reese Sullivan, of Windsor, who will attend Husson University to study forensic science; Tara Hanley, of Vassalboro, who will attend University of Maine Orono to become a dietitian; and Abigail Kopp, of Jefferson, who will attend Endicott College to major in exercise science with plans to attend graduate school for physical therapy.
