Linda Porter has written a children’s book, “Angus Tapangus from Kangamangus, a Good, Good Boy,” and will do a reading and book-signing at Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shop, located at 162 Main St. in Damariscotta, on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m.
“Angus Tapangus from Kangamangus, a Good, Good Boy” is a story about a “too big” puppy who does not understand what this means. He goes off in search of his forever family. He is a Mainer and has several adventures along the way. The things he wants most is to hear that he is a good, good boy. He knows this, but his dream is to hear this very thing from his family. He also is hopeful that they have a fireplace; he has actually never seen a fireplace, but has heard of them and they sound wonderful.
A percent of the proceeds from sale of the book will go to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Edgecomb.
