Bremen native Mary Sue Weeks will display her work at the Bremen Library, located at 204 Waldoboro Road in Bremen, beginning Thursday, Oct. 3. Weeks has studied painting throughout her life. Her studies have included classes with artists across the United States, and she has an art history degree from Colby College.
Weeks has had a career in nonprofit development and her own art business featuring decorative wall enhancements, and she was the scenic artist for the Lincoln County Community Theater.
As a retiree, Weeks has returned to her first love, oil painting. She has largely painted landscapes, but has recently begun a series of flower paintings.
An opening reception will be held at the library on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 4-6 p.m. All are welcome. For more information, call 529-5572.
