Judy Bernier, of Waldoboro, is the current artist showing the eye-catching work in the hall gallery at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus. The show will be up until Friday, Nov. 23.
Bernier began her art career after winning a poster contest in fourth grade and has continued ever since. She has worked in a number of mediums including painting, pottery making and photography. This show is of her latest work, which begins with a photo of arranged objects that are altered by using computer apps. When she is pleased with her result, they are printed on either metal or acrylic. Bernier’s work is very bright and whimsical and is attracting a lot of attention from passersby. Incidentally, many of the objects used in her art were found at the Miles Thrift Shop.
Bernier is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art.
