The Bristol Road Galleries group is participating in the Twin Villages ArtWalk, with the artwork of all four artists displayed in a tent outside the Shuck Station raw bar at 68 Main St., Newcastle. The Bristol Road Galleries is a collaboration of four artists in Damariscotta: oil painter Will Kefauver, sculptor Marnie Sinclair, and watercolorists Jan Kilburn and Kathleen Horst. In addition to having their work displayed in the tent, all four artists will have their galleries open for visitors.
The second Twin Villages ArtWalk of the 2018 season is on Friday, July 20, from 4-7 p.m.
Kefauver will be manning the tent in Newcastle. “I’ll be presenting the work of the Bristol Road Galleries artists. We’ll be presenting original paintings, prints, and notecards during this fun event,” he said. “By the way, great thanks go to the Shuck Station raw bar, who is supporting (Twin Villages) ArtWalk by loaning space to us!
“My gallery also has a terrific exhibit going on, entitled “The Boat Show,” where we’re presenting 26 guest artists and photographers showing more than 50 works on that theme. I’m very much looking forward to this week’s art walk.”
The Bristol Road Galleries are: the Kefauver Studio & Gallery (144 Bristol Road), the Sinclair Gallery (172 Bristol Road), the Jan Kilburn Gallery (168 Bristol Road), and the Kathleen Horst Studio Gallery (179 Bristol Road). Kefauver and the other artists hope visitors will come see their work in the tent in Newcastle and visit their galleries during Twin Villages ArtWalk.
Parking is free at all four galleries, and they are all within walking distance of each other. For more information, go to bristolroadgalleries.com or call 226-0974.
