Celebrate spring with a workshop called “Creating Paper Tulips with Alcohol Inks” at River Arts in Damariscotta on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dixfield paper artist Amity Beane will lead attendees in creating paper tulips with paper foliage.
One will need to bring a hot glue gun, glue sticks, extra-sharp scissors, used watercolor brushes, a roll of paper towels, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and a cookie sheet. In addition, one should bring a narrow-necked vase to arrange the flowers at the end. The workshop cost is $60, with a supplies fee of $15. One should bring a lunch as well.
Beane is the owner of Florabeane, a creative floral design studio specializing in paper flowers and field-grown flowers. She is an administrator for the group The Paper Florists on Facebook.
