Saturday, Sept. 10
Open Lighthouse Day artist demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Pemaquid Art Gallery, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, New Harbor. Free admission to park.
Lincoln Theater is partnering with London’s Almeida Theatre to present the debut of a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Richard III,” starring Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave. This 2 p.m. showing will run for three hours and 10 minutes, with a 20-minute intermission. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for Lincoln Theater members, and $5 for youth ages 15-18.
An opening reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. at Gold/Smith Gallery, at 8 McKown St. in Boothbay Harbor, for the gallery’s new exhibit of work by New York City-based landscape painter Jim St. Clair.
Tidemark Gallery, at 902 Main St. in Waldoboro, is hosting an opening reception from 4-7 p.m. for its current show featuring watercolors by Julian Sacks. The reception is concurrent with the Waldoboro ArtWalk, which also includes Heywood Gallery, 921 Main St.; Philippe Guillerm Gallery, 882 Main St.; and the brand-new Medomak River Gallery, at 211 Friendship St.
