“Incredibles 2,” the new hit Pixar Animation Studios computer-animated superhero movie distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, continues for a final week at Harbor Theater. It is the sequel to 2004’s “The Incredibles” and the second installment of the film series. The plot follows the Parr family as they balance regaining the public’s trust of superheroes with their civilian family life, only to combat a new foe who seeks to turn the populace against all supers.
The film features the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell and Samuel L. Jackson, who reprise their roles from the first film, while newcomers to the cast include Huck Milner, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, and Jonathan Banks. The film’s score was composed by Michael Giacchino, who worked on the music for the previous film. “Incredibles 2” was written and directed by Brad Bird.
“Once again, the action is fittingly spectacular, the music is great, and the whole thing looks fantastic,” according to NPR.
“Incredibles 2” is rated PG and runs 133 minutes; it plays evenings at 7 p.m. through Thursday, July 5 and there is a Sunday afternoon matinee on July 1 at 2 p.m.
Coming July 5: “Ant Man and the Wasp”
